Since 2001
25 Years of Love
What began with one woman and three children in a rented house has grown into a home, a school, a farm, and a family that has supported over 320 children. This is our story, one milestone at a time.

The Beginning
Grace Mwansa opens Wings of Love Ministry in a small rented house with three children who had nowhere else to go. She funds the first year with her own savings and the help of friends from her church.

Growing Roots
The home moves to its current location in Kayole, a larger property that allows us to welcome up to 30 children. We build our first proper dormitory and a communal dining hall where everyone eats together as a family.

The School
After years of sending children to overcrowded public schools, we establish the Wings of Love Learning Centre on-site — small classes, dedicated teachers, and a library built with donated books from supporters around the world.

First Graduates
Our first group of children who grew up at the home complete secondary school. Three go on to university, two to vocational college, and one begins a teacher training programme. A new milestone: children are not just surviving — they are thriving.

Alumni Network
Former residents form the Wings of Love Alumni Association. They return to mentor current children, offer tutoring during school holidays, and contribute a portion of their salaries back to the home. The cycle of giving begins.

Today
Wings of Love is home to 48 children, from ages four to seventeen. We employ 12 full-time staff, run an on-site school, a community clinic, a farm, and a skills workshop. Over 320 children have been supported since we opened our doors.

Help us write it. Every Wing-Giver helps a child open their wings and write their own story.
