Wings of Love

Inside Wings of Love

Our Home

A home is not just walls and a roof. It is the rhythm of daily life — meals shared, lessons learned, games played, songs sung. Here is what a day looks like at Wings of Love.

Home Life

Our home is more than a building — it is a family. Children live in shared dormitories grouped by age, with house parents who provide daily care, guidance, and love. Meals are eaten together in our dining hall, and evenings end with conversation and stories before bedtime.

School

The Wings of Love Learning Centre sits at the heart of our property. With small class sizes and dedicated teachers, every child receives the individual attention they need. Our library, built with donated books, is a favourite spot for children who have discovered the joy of reading.

Sports

Physical activity is part of every day. Our children play football, netball, and run on the open field beside the home. Sports teach teamwork, discipline, and resilience — and for some children, they become a pathway to confidence and even competition.

Music

Our children's choir is the heartbeat of Wings of Love. They sing at devotion, at community events, and for visitors. Music gives children a voice — sometimes quite literally — and the experience of singing together builds a bond that lasts for years.

Farming & Garden

We grow a portion of our own food. Children help in the garden — planting, watering, and harvesting vegetables that appear on the dining hall table the same day. It teaches responsibility, patience, and the quiet satisfaction of eating something you grew yourself.

Practical Skills

Beyond academics, we teach practical skills that last a lifetime: carpentry, sewing, cooking, basic electrical work, and computer literacy. Our skills workshop runs every Saturday, led by staff and visiting volunteers who share their trades with the next generation.
